ED 590P Student Teacher Evaluation 
This rubric is based on the 10 INTASC Standards for new teachers. The mentoring teacher will use this rubric to evaluate the student teacher's progress at the midpoint and at the end of the internship. These 10 standards form the "common core" of the teaching profession and are intended to outline the common principles and foundations of practice that cut across specialty areas -- the knowledge of student learning and development, curriculum and teaching, contexts and purposes which creates a set of professional understandings, abilities, and commitments that all teachers share.
