Makes logical predictions. Answers most questions correctly. Supports answers with one detail from the story. Mostly retells story in sequence. May need 1 prompt. Makes connections.
Approaching Standard

Answers some questions correctly. Does not support answers with information from the text. Needs prompts to retell story and make connections.

Does not answer any questions correctly. Does not use information from the text to answer the questions. Does not make connections. Needs many prompts to retell story.
