Attendance and Promptness	Poor Student is late or absent more than twice in a week. The student daily requests to leave the room.	Fair Student is late or absent twice in a week. The student occasionally asks to leave the room.	Good Student is late or absent once in a week. The student rarely asks to leave the room.	Great Student is always prompt and regularly attends class.
Respect for Others	Poor Student does not listen to others and interrupts. Student daily says inappropriate or disruptive comments.	Fair Student rarely listens to others without interrupting. Student occasionally says inappropriate or disruptive comments.	Good Student usually listens to others without interrupting. Student rarely says inappropriate or disruptive comments.	Great Student always listens to others without interrupting. Student never says inappropriate or disruptive comments.
Small and Whole Group Instruction	Poor Student is not able or willing to answer questions or respond to teacher requests.	Fair Student can or will only respond if questions are repeated or assistance and clarification are provided.	Good Student does not volunteer but is able to answer and respond to all teacher requests without repetition or assistance.	Great Student actively contributes to discussions and responds to all teacher's requests.
Instructional Software	Poor Student refuses to do the work assigned in the software.	Fair Student rarely is focused on the software assignments and is not progressing through the zones.	Good Student spends an average of 15-20 minutes daily mostly engaged in the zones of the software.	Great Student spends an average of 15-20 minutes daily actively engaged in the zones of the software.
Reading Corner	Poor Student does not read in the Reading Corner. Student does not complete the Reading Log or pass Reading Counts quizzes.	Fair Student rarely reads for the assigned time or fills out the Reading Log. Student rarely passes the Reading Counts tests on these books.	Good Student reads for the daily assigned time .
