End of year Speech
	Poor 4 pts	Fair 6 pts	Good 8 pts	Excellent 10 pts
Information	Poor Information is bland and boring. It is not done to the students best capabilities. They have not spend very much time getting prepared.	Fair Information is better, but not where it needs to be. The students have tried, but have certain areas they need to focus on for future speeches.	Good Information is presented in a smooth way, with little or no mistakes. The student has worked hard to do their best work.	Excellent Information is nearly perfect. The student has presented in a way that shows they have memorized and practiced their material. They have done the best that they can do.
Eye contact	Poor Students have read directly, word for word, from their paper. They have not practiced in order to give direct eye contact to their peers.	Fair Students use eye contact occasionally, with most of their speech being read directly from their paper.	Good Students have used eye contact 75-80% of the time. They have practiced enough to be able to give speech without looking down for long periods of time.	Excellent Students have nearly memorized their speech. They only look down for key words, and they are focused on delivering a very good speech.
Voice	Poor Voice is directed toward their paper, and not toward the group.	Fair Voice is loud enough for the front of the room to hear, but no one in the back can hear what they are saying. There is no change in tone.	Good Voice is loud, but not always directed toward the group. The students have done a good job of keeping voice up at a nice level.	Excellent Voice is loud, and also with a change in tone to add excitement to their speech. This has been practiced numerous time.
Time	Poor Less than 30 seconds.	Fair Between 30 and 45 seconds.	Good Between 45 and 60 seconds.	Excellent .Over 1 minute
