Student is at ease with the information; he/she is able to add some additional information to the slide show presentation, but fails to elaborate.
Excellent

Student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) with explanations and elaboration that enhance the slide show presentation.
Graphics and Sound

Fail

Very poorly chosen graphics that have little or nothing to do with topic. No other media used.
Poor

Student uses superfluous graphics. No animation, sound, or other media sources.
Fair

Student occasionally uses graphics that don't support text and presentation well.
Good

Student's graphics relate to text and presentation. Grapics/sounds/animations visually depict material, assist in understanding the flow of information.
Excellent

Student's graphics explain and reinforce screen text and presentation. There is a consistent visual theme.
Mechanics

Fail

Student's presentation has five or more spelling and/or grammatical errors.
Poor

Student's presentation has four spelling and/or grammatical errors.
Fair

Presentation has three misspellings and/or grammatical errors.
Good

Presentation has no more than two misspellings and/or grammatical errors.
Excellent

Presentation has no misspellings or grammatical errors.
Introduction

Fail

The Introduction presents the overall topic and draws the reader/viewer into the presentation with compelling questions, or by relating the the reader/viewer's interest or goals.
Poor

Introduction does not relate to topic or theme. Sequencing is unclear and not relevant to the reader/viewer.
Fair

Introduction shows some structure but does not create a sense of what is to follow. May be overly detailed or incomplete , but is somewhat appealing to the reader/viewer.
Good

The introduction is clear and coherent and relates to the topic.
Excellent

No Introduction , no sequencing.
Citations

Fail

Sources are cited properly (footnotes APA format)and all sources identified in a Bibliography. All sources and citations can be documented as accurate.
Poor

Most sources use proper APA citation format, and are documented making it possible to check accuracy of information included in Bibliography.
Fair

Sometimes copywright guidelines are followed and some information, photos and grapics do not use proper APA citations.
Good

Some citations are present but no Bibliography. No domcumentation possible
Excellent

No Documentation at all.
Text Elements

Fail

Fonts are easy to read and point size varies appropriately for headings and text . The background and colors enhance the readability of text.
Poor

Sometimes the fonts are easy to read but in a few places the use of fonts, italics, bold , long paragraphs, color, or busy background detracts and doesn't enhance readibility.
Fair

Overall readibility is difficult with lengthy paragraphs, and/orsentences. Too many different fonts, dark or busy background.
Good

Overall readibility is difficult with long blocks of text and small point fonts, inappropriate contrasting colors, poor use of headings, subheadings.
Excellent

Fonts impossible to read. Long blocks of text with www included in context. Colors are not contrasted or too dark. Overall poorly formatted.
