	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Organization	Poor Sequence of information is difficult to follow	Fair Journal entries not dated. Reader has difficulty following work because student jumps around.	Good Most of students journal entries are dated and information is in logical sequence which reader can follow.	Excellent Students journal entries are dated. Information in logical dated, interesting sequence which reader can follow.
Content Knowledge	Poor Journal entry shows student does not have grasp of information; student cannot answer questions about subject.	Fair Journal entry shows student is uncomfortable with content and is able to demonstrate basic concepts.	Good Journal entry shows student is at ease with content, but fails to elaborate.	Excellent Journal entry demonstrates full knowledge (more than required).
Grammar and Spelling	Poor Journal entry has four or more spelling errors and/or grammatical errors.	Fair Journal entry has three misspellings and/or grammatical errors.	Good Journal entry has no more than two misspellings and/or grammatical errors.	Excellent Journal entry has no misspellings or grammatical errors.
Neatness	Poor Journal entry is Illegible.	Fair Journal entry has three or four areas that are sloppy.	Good Journal entry has one or two areas that are sloppy.	Excellent Journal entry is neatly done.
Entries	Poor Half or more of the journal entries are missing.	Fair Missing more 2 entries.	Good Missing no more than 1 entry.	Excellent All journal entries are completed.
