Preparedness	Excels On time and brings needed material to class and is always ready to work.	Proficient Almost always brings needed materials and is ready most of the time to work.	Developing Often forgets needed materials or is rarely ready to get to work.	Needs Improvement No material brought to class and does not do any work.
Focus on Task	Excels Stays focused on what needs to be done. Very self-directed!	Proficient Focuses on the task at hand and what needs to be done some of the time. Needs reminders to get back to work.	Developing Rarely focuses on the task and what needs to be done. Lets others do the work. Often surfs the Internet instead of completing tasks.	Needs Improvement Does not attempt to do tasks. Gets repeatedly off task by surfing the Internet instead of completing assignments.
Respects Students/ Teachers	Excels Consistently uses respectful tone of voice and positive attitude with the teacher and with classmates.	Proficient Works quietly and causes minimum distractions. Doesn't interrupt when others are being helped. Follows directions. Accepts responsibility for actions.	Developing Often talks to other students and goes to sites on the computer not associated with the lesson, resulting in late or incomplete assignments and classroom disruptions.
