Pitch and Rhythmic Accuracy	Excellent Confidently performed all pitches correctly. Confidently performs all rhythms correctly.	Good Performed most of the pitches correctly. Most of the rhythms are performed correctly, with few errors.	Fair Many of the pitches are performed incorrectly. Some basic rhythms are performed correctly; however, has challenges with some rhythms.
Focus during performance	Excellent Student pay attention to the teacher 100% of the time. During performance, student maintains eye contact with audience.	Good Student pay attention to the teacher 80% of the time. During performance, student maintains eye contact with audience 80% of the time.	Fair Student pay attention to the teacher 50% of the time. During performance, student's eye contact with audience. Student seems distracted.
Rehearsal Effort and Behavior	Excellent Student is on task and giving effort 100% of the time. Teacher does not need to remind this student about what is expected during rehearsal.	Good Student is on task and giving effort 80% of the time. Teacher gives an occasional reminder to this student about what is expected during rehearsal. After the reminder, the student regains focus.	Fair Student is on task and giving effort 50% of the time. Teacher frequently reminds this student about what is expected during rehearsal. After the reminder, the student regains focus.
