Readers Theater Things Fall Apart: Readers Theater Students have been put into groups and assigned a chapter of the novel to act out and teach to the class. Preparation	Excellent Student was on task for all of the planning time and helped develop a well thought out skit.	Good Student was on task for most of the planning time and helped develop a well thought out skit.	Poor Student was off task for the time of planning and didn't develop a well thought out skit.
Presentation	Excellent Student clearly and respectfully acted out the assigned chapter, with a focus on the cultural event. Dialogue added to the understanding of the chapter.	Good Student acted out the chapter in a somewhat clear and respectful manner. The dialogue sometimes added to the understanding of the chapter.	Poor Student did not act out the chapter in a clear or respectful manner. The dialogue distracted from the understanding of the chapter.
Collaboration	Excellent All students in the group worked well together. Each student played a key role in the skit.	Good Some students in the group worked well together.	Poor Students appeared to have strong difficulties working in the group together.
Viewing	Excellent Student was quiet and respectful while viewing other groups. Student took complete notes of other chapters.	Good Student was somewhat quiet and respectful while other groups presented. Student took some notes of other chapters.	Poor Student was talkative and disrespectful while other groups presented. Student did not take notes of the other chapters.
