Topic	Poor Student topic is too broad or is unclear.	Fair Student topic is unclear or not well-developed.	Good Student topic is clear enough to present a need for environmental change.	Excellent Student topic is clear and precise. The poster and slides describe a specific environmental problem.
Use of vocabulary	Poor Poster uses two or less vocabulary words. Slides use 5 or fewer vocabulary words.	Fair Poster uses 3 - 5 vocabulary words. Slides uses 6 - 8 vocabulary words.	Good Poster uses 6 - 9 vocabulary words. Slidest use 9 - 15 vocabulary words	Excellent Poster uses 10 - 12 vocabulary words. Slides use 13 - 20 vocabulary words.
Objective	Poor Project does not mention need for environmental change or unsuccessfully presents a need for change with no examples of how to make that change.	Fair Project weakly presents need for environmental change and gives at least one method of change.	Good Project aptly presents a need for environmental change and provides two methods to cause that change.	Excellent Project clearly presents a need for environmental change and provides two or more methods to make that change.
Appearance	Poor Project is messy or unattractive. Few students would stop to look at the poster in the hallway.	Fair Project is somewhat messy or unattractive, but some students would stop to view it.	Good Project is not messy or unattractive, but may be slightly disorganized, causing confusion in those who might stop to view it.	Excellent Project is highly attractive and neatly organized. Appearance of the poster provides aesthetic value to the persuasiveness of the poster.
Spanish Language	Poor Spanish is not used on the poster or Spanish grammar and spelling are full of errors.	Fair Spanish is used with several errors for at least 50 percent of the project.	Good Spanish is used for 100 percent of the project with errors.	Excellent Spanish is used for 100 percent of the project with no errors.
Presentation	Poor Student read throughout the presentation.	Fair Student seemed somewhat prepared and read through some of the presentation.	Good Student was confident but glaced too many times during the presentation.	Excellent Student was confident and only glanced a few times at notes during presentation. Student was well prepared.
