Essay Title: Significant Canadian Position Paper

Rubric for group presentation

Choose a current full-length article from a major newspaper or news website that reports on current events. Write a summary of the article and a response to it. Please see "News Article Format" handout for additional directions.

Students will create a visual dictionary using the UNIT 1,2,3 and 7 vocabulary words. In this dictionary they must provides the definition of the word, unit, a visual picture or drawing of the word, and a complete sentence using in its properly .

Students can create a google slide about one of the figures that they learned today and how they influenced the latino community.

Photo Analysis Project

Students are choosing a topic that happened during WWI to go up and present in front of the class. They will need to go choose a topic that happened during this event. They have 5-7 minutes to present what they know, and they will need to have a bibliography and sources page at the end to show where they found their facts on the event. Students need 5 sources to show where they got their facts from

Student will create a poster to showcase their project.

Using at least 5 historical resources from this Unit, provide evidence as to why America should breakup with Britain.

Students will create a propaganda poster. Your poster must include at least one of the types of propaganda discussed. You must also include on the back of the poster a paragraph describing your poster and the type of propaganda being used.

Students will have an option of various "extra credit" projects to choose from for the grading quarter.
