Performance-based task rubric: Plants (5th grade) Pick one of the flowering plants we have discussed in class and create a magazine article explaining the proper ways to take care of this plant and what conditions this plant thrives in. Not presented neatly; very disorganized.	Fair Chose a flowering plant and listed only one conditon of how to care for plant. Plant was not illustrated properly. Somewhat disorganized and scattered.	Good Chose a flowering plant discussed in class and was able to describe at least three ways to care for this plant. Plant was illustrated properly. Presented fairly neatly.	Excellent Chose a flowering plant discussed in class. Listed more four or more conditions of caring for this plant. Illustration represented plant correctly and was organized well and presented neatly.
