Functions of Orginelles
Exceeds Expectations
All students in the group understand the parts of the cell and what each Organelle does in cell.
Meets Expectations
Most students in the group understand the parts of the cell and what each Organelle does in the cell.
Approaches Expectations
Some of the students in the group understand the parts of the cell and what each Organelle does in the cell.
Below Expectations
All of the students in the group do not understand the parts of the cell and what each Organelle does in the cell.
Drawing and Labeling of Cell
Exceeds Expectations
Students showed outstanding organization in their model. They drew and labeled all the required parts of the plant cell (nucleus, cytoplasm, chloroplast, mitochondria, cell wall, and cell membrane).
Meets Expectations
Students showed some organization in their model. They drew and labeled most of the required parts of the plant cell (nucleus, cytoplasm, chloroplast, mitochondria, cell wall, and cell membrane).
Approaches Expectations
Students showed little organization in their model. They drew and labeled only a few the required parts of the plant cell (nucleus, cytoplasm, chloroplast, mitochondria, cell wall, and cell membrane).
Below Expectations
Students showed no organization in their model. They were unable to draw and label the required parts of the plant cell (nucleus, cytoplasm, chloroplast, mitochondria, cell wall, and cell membrane).
Number of Food Products Used
Exceeds Expectations
Students used different food items for each part of the cell.
Meets Expectations
Students re-used one food item for the parts of the cells.
Approaches Expectations
Students re-used more than one food item for the parts of the cells.
Below Expectations
Students did not have all the parts of the cells or mentioned the incorrect parts.
Presentation
Exceeds Expectations
Students did an outstanding job presenting their plant cells. Students all took turns while presenting and spoke clearly.
