Copy of Do You See My Qualities? Do You See My Qualities? Using any media (from crayons and oils, to charcoal and magazines) create a self-portrait or mask. These can be abstract or realistic. When that’s complete, write an explanation (poem or prose) about your self-portrait. Address such ideas as Did I portray myself the way I want to be seen or how I think I am seen? Mask or Self-Portrait	Poor The mask or self-portrait lacked in detail/ effort/ subject matter, (positive and/or negative attributes)	Fair The sketch shows moderate detail with effort and evidence of subject matter (positive and/or negative attributes)	Good The sketch shows great detail and describes the subject matter and has evidence of great effort.
craftsmanship	Poor Student shows poor instruction following, construction is poor, may show lack of effort. Does not fit requirements. Lacks in attributes.	Fair The student constructed the mask or self-portrait well and showed effort to apply a variety of construction skills. Shows evidence of attributes.	Good Craftsmanship of the mask or self-portrait is very neat and well constructed and creatively demonstrates attributes.
Poem or Prose	Poor No poem or prose present.	Fair Poem or prose is evident; however, the writing is not introspective. The writing does not adequately explain qualities portrayed by the mask or self-portrait.	Good The poem or self-portrait thoughtfully expands on the qualities represented by the mask or self-portrait.
