Warp	Exemplary All warp strips are cut in an "irregular" fashion and the student stayed inside the "limit lines" of the loom.	Proficient Some warp strips are cut in an "irregular" fashion and the student stayed inside the "limit lines" of the loom some of the time. Weft	Exemplary The student glued each end of his/her weft strips and used variety in the weft strips he/she chose.	Proficient The student glued some of the ends of his/her weft strips and used some variety in the weft strips he/she chose.	Developing The student did not glue the ends of his/her weft strips and did not use any variety in the weft strips he/she chose.
Weaving	Exemplary Weft strips are woven in an alternating, interlocking manner. There are no mistakes in the alternating pattern. The weaving is done neatly with no tears.	Proficient Weft strips are woven in an alternating, interlocking manner some of the time. There are a few mistakes in the alternating pattern. The weaving may have a few tears. Art Elements	Exemplary Student understood the concept completely. Used color, geometric shapes, line, and pattern as was asked and exemplified the Kente cloth as shown in the lesson.	Proficient Student used vibrant colors and pattern. Strayed away from geometric shapes, but otherwise understood the overall project.	Developing Did not exemplify that they knew what each element (color, pattern, shape, line) meant and did not display any of these in relation to the Kente cloth.
