Using Assigned Notes & Rests	Advanced Student has included 'specialty' notes or dotted notes used correctly with few or no rests used; advanced compositional notation.	Proficient Student has included more than 3 of the required notation with no more than 1 half rest used; interesting compositional notation.	Basic Student has included at least 3 of the required notation; rests are not overused; good compositional notation.	Poor Student has included little of the required notation or has not used the notation correctly failing to complete the measures as directed.
Performance	Advanced Student sings/claps composition with correct rhythms.	Proficient Student sings/claps composition with most rhythms.	Basic Student sings/claps composition with some rhythms.	Poor Student sings/claps composition with few rhythms.
Teamwork	Advanced Student stays on task all of the time without reminders.	Proficient Student stays on task most of the time. Group members can count on this person.	Basic Student stays on task some of the time. Group members must sometimes remind this person to do the work.	Poor Student hardly ever stays on task. Lets others do the work.
Neatness and accuracy	Advanced Hard copy of presentation was neat and rhythms were clearly written with matching lyrics.	Proficient Hard copy of presentation was somewhat neat and most rhythms were clearly written with matching lyrics.	Basic Hard copy of presentation was not neat and rhythms were not clearly written and did not match most of the lyrics.	Poor Hard copy of presentation was poorly written.
