Concept Map: Cultural and/or Contextual Links to Literature 
In small groups, students will present their concept map to the class. The map must connect cultural or contextual aspects to their understanding of the novel in translation. The purpose of the concept map is to explore specific sections of the novel more deeply, with attention to detail. Students are encouraged to explore new avenues of interpretation for the purpose of this assignment.

Student looks comfortable in front of the class but does not always maintain eye contact with the audience and frequently refers to notes or needs help from other group members. Student has a clear voice and has correct pronunciation most of the time.
Adequately Meets Standard

Student looks at ease and comfortable in front of the class. Student maintains eye contact with audience. Student uses a clear voice with correct pronunciation.
Below Standard

Student appears nervous and uncomfortable in front of the class. Student reads their portion of the presentation with little to no eye contact with the audience. Student speaks too quietly during the presentation.
