Level 1

Cannot track the object.
Level 2

Eyes closed or turn head away from ball.
Does not move to catch ball.
Catches ball with straight arms away from body or traps ball between body and arms.
Level 3

Eyes on ball but may flinch.
Reaches to catch ball.
Catches with hands only.
Level 4

Eyes on ball.
Moves to catch ball.
Catches with hands onlly and brings ball in to chest.
Underhand Throw

Level 1

No step.
No backswing.
Untimely object release.
Level 2

Steps forward with wrong foot.
Backswing with no follow through.
Inconsistant object release
Level 3

Steps forward with correct foot.
Full backswing and follow through.
Coordinated arm motion with smooth release.
Level 4

Throws with proper form and also demonstrates power and consistant accuracy.
Overhand Throw

Level 1

Faces Target.
No step.
No trunk rotation.
Lack of accuracy.
Level 2

Slight front to back stance.
Steps with wrong foot.
Minimal trunk rotation or bends forward.
Inconsistant accuracy.
Level 3

Stands with side to target.
Steps with correct foot.
Consistant trunk rotation.
Level 4

Throws with proper form and also demonstrates power and consistant accuracy.
