PowerPoint Book Report PowerPoint Book Report After reading your book, create a presentation using any presentation software like PowerPoint. It should include all items in the rubric. The presentation should have between 7-10 slides. The class presentation should be between 3-5 minutes. Characters and Setting Give the viewer a sense of what the main character is like and where the book takes place. This can be done with words or pictures.	Excellent Student provides exceptional details about character traits and setting. Creates a good sense of what the character is like and what the setting is.	Good Student provides an overview of character traits and describes the setting.	Fair Student mentions both character traits and setting but does not develop the ideas in way to help the viewer understand.	Poor Student either does not describe either/or the setting or character traits OR does not give enough information about them to help the viewer understand.
Organization Organize the slides in a logical sequence. Example of slide order: Title, Character traits, Setting, Beginning, Middle, End, Opinion, Resources	Excellent Student presents information in a logical and interesting sequence.	Good Student presents most of the information in a logical sequence, but one slide is out of order.	Fair Student's presentation follows a somewhat logical sequence.	Poor The presentation sequence seems to be at random with slides out of order.
Graphics Should include at least 3 graphics in the presentation.	Excellent Graphics explain and reinforce screen text and presentation. There are at least 3 graphics in the presentation.	Good Graphics relate to text and presentation. There are at least 3 graphics.	Fair Graphics are occasionally used but rarely supports text and presentation. There are at least 3 graphics.	Poor Too many graphics are used and detract from the presentation OR less than 3 graphics are used.
Oral Presentation	Excellent Student uses a clear voice with correct, precise pronunciation. All audience members can hear presentation. It is obvious the student has practiced.	Good Student's voice is clear and they pronounced most words correctly. Most audience members can hear the presentation. It is obvious the student has practiced.	Fair Student's voice is low OR they incorrectly pronounce terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing or understanding presentation. The students should have practiced more.	Poor Student mumbles OR incorrectly pronounces terms, AND speaks too quietly for audience in the back of class to hear. It does not appear the student has practiced.
