The student explored several ideas/choices. Concept is clearly original. Made connections to previous knowledge and/or book details.

The student did not finish the work adequately. (4)

The project was completed with minimum effort. (6)
Average, Good, Not Yet Acceptable
The student finished the project, but it could have been improved with more effort; adequate interpretation of the the assignment, but lacking finish; chose an easy project and did it indifferently. (8)
Excellent, Outstanding, Exemplary
The project was continued until it was as complete as the student could make it; gave effort far beyond that required; took pride in going well beyond the requirement. (10)
Craftsmanship / Skill (15)
Poor, Unsatisfactory, Unacceptable
The student showed poor craftsmanship; evidence of laziness or total lack of understanding.
Below Average, Needs Improvement,
The student showed below-average craftsmanship; lack of pride in finished artwork.
Average, Good, Not Yet Acceptable
The student showed average craftsmanship; adequate, but not as good as it could have been, a bit careless.
Excellent, Outstanding, Exemplary
The artwork was beautifully and patiently done; it was as good as hard work could make it.

The student's art is not connected to the story

The story is minimally connected to the artwork.
