Appropriate Format	Poor Poem is unconnected words on the page.	Minimal Poem resembles sentences	Good Poem looks and sounds more like a poem than just some sentences on a page	Excellent Poem sounds and looks like a poem.
Imagination!	Poor Poetry generally exhibits no imagination.	Minimal Poetry shows minimal imagination. Relies on cliches/idioms. Not very interesting but somewhat okay.	Good Although occasional phrases or ideas are borrowed/revisited, poetry generally shows imagination. Somewhat exciting and interesting.	Excellent It is evident that the poet was innovative, taking great care to be imaginative. Exciting and interesting!!!
