Students partially completed an experiment. The experiment either had little to do with their topic or was not executed properly. The experiment may have been too time consuming, or had very little to it.

Students fully completed the experiment. There were minor problems during the biome in getting it to work as planned, but otherwise, everything went fine.

Students fully completed the science experiment during biome. Their experiment was well executed, on topic, and each group member was able to explain how it worked and why it was important.

Students did not present their findings on biome day.

Students attempted to present their findings on biome day. They were either missing a portion of the experiment, were unable to explain what they were doing, or were unable to answer questions about the presentation.

Students presented their findings on biome day. Their experiment was thoughtful, addressed the topic, and was fun to watch/engage in. There may have been one group member that was unable to participate or one of the trials may have been botched.

Students presented during biome day and were able to successfully complete their experiment each and every time. The experiment was thoughtful, well executed and drove home a point. The students were able to accurately field all questions asked of them and were also able to explain how their experiment related to the ocean biome.
