Meaning and Originality	Level 4 Memoir consists of meaningful writing about a meaningful topic. Memoir seriously and effectively answers "So What?"	Level 3 Memoir consists of meaningful writing about a meaningful topic. Memoir adequately answers "So What?"	Level 2 Memoir fails to meaningfully address a meaningful topic. Memoir fails to answer "So What?"	Level 1 Memoir appears to be thoughtless or rushed.
Emotional Content	Level 4 Memoir clearly stirs emotions of both writer and reader. Memoir shows evidence of careful reflectiton upon the significance of the event.	Level 3 Memoir attempts to stir emotions of reader. Memoir shows evidence of reflectiton upon the significance of the event.	Level 2 Memoir fails to stir the emotions of reader.
