Correct proportions
33.333 pts

Used tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct proportions

Extraordinary: A

Student understands how to use the tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct proportions. The student spent the time to go above and beyond to make sure the proportions and small details were as correct as possible.
Above average: B

Student understands how to use the tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct proportions. With a little more time and effort work would have been an A.
Average: C

Student understands how to use the tools and techniques covered in class just enough to obtain semi-believable proportions. With a little more time and effort work would have been a B. Some of the proportions are a little to far off, and could have been corrected with a little more time and effort.
Below average: D

Student has a poor understanding of the tools and techniques covered in class. Proportions and details are a little too far off, either because of lack of time and effort or understanding. If you recieved This grade you should schedule office hours with me.
Poor: F

Student has a very poor understanding of the tools and techniques covered in class. proportions and details are incorrect, either because of lack of time and effort or understanding. If you recieved This grade you should schedule office hours with me.Image is most likely incomplete. Student most likely missed days, which made it impossible to have the time to achieve objectives of project.
correct values
33.333 pts

Used tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct vaLUES

Extraordinary: A

Student understands how to use the tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct VALUES. The student spent the time to go above and beyond to make sure the values were wholistically correct, usig lightest light and darkest dark to obtain full value range.
Above average: B

Student understands how to use the tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct VALUES. The student spent the time to make sure the values were wholistically correct, usig lightest light and darkest dark to obtain a full value range. With a little more effort this work would have been an A.
Average: C

Student understands how to use the tools and techniques covered in class just enough to obtain semi-believable values. With a little more time and effort work would have been a B. Some of the values are a little to far off, and could have been corrected with a little more time and effort. image may look keyed light or dark, very similar or grayed out. May have lights and darks that are competing for the lightest light or the darkest dark.
Below average: D

Student has a poor understanding of the tools and techniques covered in class. values are a little too far off, either because of lack of time and effort or understanding. If you recieved This grade you should schedule office hours with me. Image is most likely incomplete or very grayed out and flat.May have lights and darks that are competing for the lightest light or the darkest dark.
Poor: F

Student has a very poor understanding of the tools and techniques covered in class. values are incorrect, either because of lack of time and effort or understanding. If you recieved This grade you should schedule office hours with me.Image is most likely incomplete. Student most likely missed days, which made it impossible to have the time to achieve objectives of project.
hard and soft edges
33.33 pts

Perseption of hard and soft
edges are very important within a drawing. In this section I will also be looking at mark making used to obtain different textures within materials.

Extraordinary: A

Student understands how to use the tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct EDGES. The student spent the time to go above and beyond to make sure they attended to soft and hard edges: maybe even masking the hardest edges. Student spent the time to experiment with mark making into correct value areas to obtain textural differences.
Above average: B

Student understands how to use the tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct EDGES. The student spent the time to attend to soft and hard edges: maybe even masking the hardest edges. With a little more effort this would be A work!Student spent the time to experiment with mark making into correct value areas to obtain textural differences. Again, with a little more attention this would be A work!
Average: C

Student understands how to use the tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct EDGES is adequate. The student could have spent more time attending to soft and hard edges: maybe even masking the hardest edges. Many edges look the same.Student spent minimal time experimenting with mark making into correct value areas to obtain textural differences.
Below average: D

Student shows minimal understanding of how to use the tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct EDGES. The student did not attend to hard and soft edges.Student spent minimal time experimenting with mark making into correct value areas to obtain textural differences. All edges look the same and all objects look like they are made from same material.
Poor: F

Student shows no understanding of how to use the tools and techniques covered in class to obtain correct EDGES. The student did not attend to hard and soft edges.Student spent no time experimenting with mark making into correct value areas to obtain textural differences. All edges look the same and all objects look like they are made from same material.
