Format	Poor My entries do not contain title, date of pages read.	Fair My entries include either date or title in most of my journal.	Good My entires include title and date on all of my entries.	Excellent My entries include: title of my book, pages I read, and date of my entry on top of each entry I write
Paragrah Structure	Poor I have not written a complete paragraph and my entries are sloppy.	Fair I have written at least 5 sentences and my paragraph was somewhat neat and organized.	Good I have written seven sentences for each entry and my paragrah is neat.	Excellent I have writtens seven or more sentences for my entry. My work is neat. The paragraphs flow and are pertinant to the story I am reading.
Personal Connections	Poor I have made no personal connections	Fair I have made 1 or 2 connections to my weekly entries.	Good I have made personal connections to at least three of my weekly entries.	Excellent I have made a personal connection all of my weekly entries.
