Use of English Conventions

Excellent

Fluent with natural-sounding intonation. Uses a wide variety of expressions and some idioms also. Easy to understand.
Good

Generally very good with occasional errors which do not affect comprehension.
Fair

Some pronunciation problems and uses simple structures to communicate. Nevertheless, the student manages to get their message across.
Poor

Frequent grammar errors and pronunciation problems. At times difficult to understand.
Slide Design

Excellent

Has followed the 3 rules: great images, minimum text and has eliminated all spelling mistakes. Great use of fonts. Very professional.
Good

Generally high quality. Just one or two small errors of grammar and design.
Fair

Too much text on some slides and not all text is easy to read. Some of the slides were uninteresting.
Poor

Excessive text. Poor choice of font and text sometimes difficult to read. Spelling mistakes.
Public Speaking Skills

Excellent

Superb stance: relaxed shoulders and smiling. Eye contact and enthusiastic attitude. Spoke at the appropriate speed.
Good

Generally very convincing. Showed a little nerves but managed to smile and achieve eye-contact.
Fair

Nervous and did not look happy. Moved around a lot and didn't smile.
Poor

Weaving and prowling. Doesn't make eye-contact and doesn't smile.
Teamwork/Personal responsibility

Excellent

Excellent team player. Always willing to help, including other teams. Also did not try to impose own ideas.
Good

Some difficulty at the beginning but learned to be more tolerant and to listen. Learned a lot during the project.
Fair

Not very outgoing but managed to find a role within the team.
Poor

Has contributed little to the project and spoke very little. Has not used class time well. Let other team members do most of the work.
