Photo Assignment Urban Landscape Project (5 Pics)
Photo Essay Project (3 Pics)
For this project you should explore the urban landscape. 5 Pictures uploaded to one album in your ning.com account. Your assignment is due 30 minutes before the beginning class. It’s up to you in terms of the subject matter (people, buildings, transportation, urban wildlife, etc…) Your pictures should be cropped and adjusted (if needed). A few ideas to get you started thinking about this concept: Decay and Renewal The City as the Sterile Playground City as a Life Force People and The Urban Environment Alienation History and Place Transportation Modernity and History Try some long exposures, some night shots, extreme angles, clear focus points of interest, look for scenes with a lot of color contrast, or interesting geometries. Explore the city, your neighborhood, take short walks, but most important: observe. Don’t look, observe.
