Choice of Scenes	Excellent Highlight one or two important scenes or events in detail that occur in the book.	Good Covers an important events in the book but misses key part.	Fair Covers an important event in the book, but highlights unimportant points.	Poor Lists some event in the book, but information is incomplete or focused on less important points.
Captions/Explanations	Excellent Captions are related to the scenes and the book, and the connections are easy to understand.	Good Captions are related to the scenes and the book, and most connections are easy to understand.	Fair Captions are related to the scenes and the book, but the connections are less obvious.	Poor Captions do not relate well to the scenes. There seems to be no connection or connections are very general.
Characters	Excellent The main characters are clearly identified, and their actions and dialogue are well-matched to their actions and dialogue in the book.	Good The main characters are clearly identified, and their actions and dialogue match actions and dialogue in the book.	Fair The main characters are identified, but actions and dialogue are too general to show their relationship to the book.	Poor It is hard to tell who the main characters are, or main characters in the comic are not the main characters in the book.
Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar	Excellent There are no spelling, punctuation, or grammar errors.	Good There are 1-3 spelling, punctuation, or grammar errors.	Fair There are 4-5 spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors.	Poor there are more than 5 spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors.
Additional Requirements Your comic strip must be a minimum of 6-8 panels. There are on-line comic strip templates available. Neatness counts.
