Introduction/Thesis Statement	Excellent Well developed thesis statement that covers both subjects and the author's point for the comparison OR the contrast.	Good Thesis statement is present but may cover only one subject. The author's point is made for the comparison OR the contrast.	Fair Introduction of subjects is shaky. Hints at discussing BOTH similarities AND differences.	Poor No controlling point about the subjects is evident. Statement is about both similarities AND differences.
Overall Organization	Excellent Sticks to one pattern: subject-by-subject or point-by point. Both subjects are covered vividly and given about the same amount of space.
