Theme Collage
Students will use themes from THE GIVER (utopia/dystopia, sameness, memories/history, coming of age, rules, family, friendship) to create a collage. The images that students choose to symbolize each theme should fold up, and an explanation of how each theme was developed in the story should be underneath. Students should use examples from the text to support paragraphs.
