Still Life Drawing 40 points Still Life Drawing 40 points Students arranged fruit/vegetables provided by the teacher to draw. The still life also included a table cloth as part of the background. Outline	Poor Did not attempt to draw what he/she saw.	Fair Student made a rough outline and quickly attempted to draw what he/she saw.	Good Student took time and neatly drew what he/she saw.
Highlighting	Poor Did not apply highlights. Student only used one tone for all objects.	Fair An attempt at highlighting was made but was messy or more highlighting needed. Highlights were not blended smoothly. Student used more than one tone on some of the objects.	Good Highlighted correctly and neatly using highlighting techniques. Highlights were blended smoothly. Student blended colors for objects using more than one tone on all objects.
Shading	Poor Did not apply shading.	Fair An attempt at shading was made but was messy or more shading needed. Shading was not blended smoothly.	Good Shaded neatly using learned shading techniques. Shading was blended smoothly.
Work Ethic	Poor Did not stay on task and / or show respect. Student used less than 60 minutes of class time to complete the work.	Fair Had some problems with staying on task and / or being respectful. Student actively used at least 60 minutes of class time to complete the work. Neatness	Poor Overall product is very messy. There are an overwhelming amount of fingerprints. Pastels were not smoothed.	Fair Overall product has a lot of visible fingerprints. The piece looks grainy because the student did not take the time to smooth the pastels.	Good Overall product is looks neat. Minimal amount fingerprints are showing. The student took a lot of time to smooth out all of the colors used.
