Manipulation of dance elements task
Each student is required to compose a phrase over 4 weeks, exploring with the elements of dance to communicate an idea. The phrase should be 45 seconds long but no longer than 1:15minutes. The dance needs to have a noticeable beginning, .middle, and end. Students will apply the creative process to the composition of short dance pieces and a teacher devised phrase. The teacher devised phrase is to be manipulated by changes in space, time and dynamics.
