Students choose from variety of response formats. Grading is based on thoroughness, neatness, thoughtfulness, analysis, and mechanics. THOUGHTFULNESS	Excellent - Makes total sense, expresses thoughts clearly, and has writers voice	Good - Makes sense, expresses thoughts somwhat, and has some writers voice	Below Average - makes very little sense	Incomplete - doesn't make sense
Organization	Excellent - organized,detailed story that demonstrates the understanding of the theme	Good -Somewhat organized, detailed story that demonstrated the understanding of the theme	Below Average - Lacking organization, and details in the story that demonstrates the theme	Incomplete - Little to no organization, and details in the story that demonstrates the theme
