Poster Title/complexity	Exceeding Title is clearly written and displayed on the poster.The students used over 30 vocabulary words. Outstanding Complexity of language usage is superb .	Meeting Title can be seen on the poster.Students used 25 + vocabulary words Excellent and complex sentences	Approaching Title is indicated on the poster, but it is not easily seen. used minimum of 20 vocabulary words . Medium level of language usage some discrepancies in usage.	Below Poster does not have a title.used minimum of 20 vocabulary words not all correctly. Complexity of language not evident . Compounded by poor spelling .
Acrostics	Exceeding Poem are creative and original. It is evident that the poets put thought into their word choices and uniquely conveyed their ideas and emotions.	Meeting Poem are thoughtful and creative. A couple of words or ideas may be revisited, but the overall product is carefully written.	Approaching Most of the poems are creative, but a few appear to be rushed. This is evident in the poets' redundancy or use of cliches.	Below Poems appear to be thoughtless or rushed. Work is very repetitive, and ideas are unoriginal.
Overall Apprearance	Exceeding Poster is attractive and put together in an organized manner. Neat, easily read, understood, and free of grammatical and spelling errors. Complete product.	Meeting Poster is attractive but could use more organization, neatness and refining. Poster could use a little more work, but is still a complete product.	Approaching Poster needs more organization, neatness, and refining. Poster needs work to be a completed product.	Below Poster is incomplete. Needs work on organization, neatness, and refining.
Group Participation	Exceeding Every member contributes to the poster. Members stay on task and conversation is focused on the poster.	Meeting Majority of the group contributes to the poster. Members are on task and most of the conversation is focused on the poster with only a few reminders.	Approaching Some of the group is contributing to the poster. Most of the group is off-task and needs reminders to focus on the poster.	Below Little or no contribution by group members to the poster. Majority of the group is off-task and needing several reminders to stay on task.
