Pitch Accuracy The performance of correct notes in music assigments and studies.	Poor Most pitches are performed incorrectly, and student is not able to track within musical score.	Fair Many of the pitches are performed incorrectly, but student tracks well in musical score.	Good Performed most of the pitches correctly with few errors and tracks well in musical score.	Excellent Confidently performed all pitches correctly.	Superior Superior performance of all musical pitches.
Rhythmic Accuracy The performance of correct rhythms in music assignments and studies.	Poor Most of the rhythms are performed incorrectly.	Fair Some basic rhythms are performed correctly; however, student has challenges with some rhythms.	Good Most of the rhythms are performed correctly, with few errors.	Excellent Confidently performs all rhythms correctly.	Superior Superior performance of advanced rhythmic patterns.
Style/Interpretation	Poor The style and interpretation are not executed during performance.	Fair Some parts of the piece are performed using both style and interpretation. Effort Student makes effort to participate in music and class activities. Has their instruments, music, class materials for each class session. Students demonstrates overall effort in class sesison.
