Poster and presentation rubric
The students will work to put together a poster or power point for display. The presentation will contain relevant information directly related to their assigned Child development theorist. Students will provide an informational fact sheet on their chosen theorist, as well as submit a creative, colorful poster or powerpoint (or other interactive media).

The poster/powerpoint includes all information relevant to the theorist/ theory. The poster is creative, clear and concise. Shows an very good understanding of the theory & related contents.

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster/powerpoint and presentation.

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.

Lacks original creativity. Not good use of space on poster/powerpoint. Messy. Lacks color, interesting points.

Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not a lot of color/shapes/design. Most of the drawings/writing is the student's own ideas. Writing on poster/powerpoint is not very legible or is misspelled.
Good Work
Contains students own ideas. Lots of colors, shapes, and appealing design. Shows the student spent time creating an artistic piece.
Excellent Work
Eye catching. Great use of colors, texture, shapes, spacing, and/or charts, on poster/powerpoint. Creativity is shown to in every area on the poster/powerpoint. Writing is easy to read. Shows the student can express ideas through art or technology.

Students did not speak in a tone that could be heard by all students - too soft. Information too hard to understand.

Voice is acceptable - many gaps in flow of information or times voice could not be understood by all.
Good Work
Voice is good with minimal gaps in flow of information. Student did not present their opinion on the theory.
Excellent Work
Student 's voice was loud and clear. Information was easy to understand. Student explained theory very well and provided examples of why they agreed/disagreed with theory proposed by their assigned theorist.
