Playing is tentative with a weak tone. Bow contact point, bow speed, and right arm weight need individual attention.

A resonant tone has not been developed or is inconsistent. Bow contact point, bow speed, and right arm weight need improvement.
Good
Tone is fairly confident and resonant. Bow contact point, bow speed, and right arm weight are appropriate for the style and dynamics of the piece.
Excellent
Tone is very confident and resonant. Bow contact point and right arm weight are excellent.
Dynamics
Poor
There is no obvious difference between dynamic markings.
Fair
Many of the dynamic markings are neither observed nor obvious to the listener.

Most of the dynamic markings are observed and obvious to the listener, including crescendos and decrescendos.
