Native American Dwellings
Native American Dwellings
Students have to replicate by building a model or a "textured" (use materials similar to those used in reality so that it can be touched) poster of a North American Indian dwelling using materials that are authentic in representation (looks like the materials they would have used) and the structure is landscaped (the "ground" and background look like the environment in which the house would have been found). Must include a label with: 1. Student name and class 2. Name of tribe and region 3. Name of dwelling 4. Brief Description of dwelling including materials they would have used to build it. A written report identifying key facts about the chosen tribe and dwelling structure is also required. This report should be approximately 1-2 pages in length, typed, double-spaced and in 12pt common font. Thoughts should be organized into paragraphs. Include a bibliography at the end where the information was found. See rubric below.
