Includes sufficient supporting details or evidence.	Poor Main idea/thesis has not been stated. Student begins writing with little evidence of planning. No clear direction. Little or irrelevant supporting details or evidence.
Revising Content and Organization.	Exceptional The evidence should reflect logical and coherent additions, deletions, and organization in content. Content reflects powerful revision in writing style. Student shows evidence of outside assistance (peer editing, proof reading, teacher conferencing).	Fair Some evidence of logical and coherent additions, deletions, and organization in content. Content reflects revision in writing style, but may have minimal impact. Student shows little evidence of outside assistance.	Poor There is little evidence of any revisions relating to the content.
