Tool Use (X10)	Falls Far Below Student needs help often or is regularly doing it wrong.	Approaches Student needs help with caulking tools and technique. Caulk gun accumulates slight build-up.	Meets Student uses all tools and techniques properly at all times, but does extend his or her help to others.	Exceeds Student uses all tools and techniques properly at all times, including running a bead smoothly, tooling a bead, always having a rag handy, using ladders when necessary, and more. Student even assists others with their technique. Caulk gun is kept clean at all times.
Cleanliness (X5)	Falls Far Below Messy.	Approaches Caulk gun, student, or jobsite gets messy on more than two occassion.	Meets Caulk gun, student, or jobsite get a few small bits of caulk on them on a couple of occassions.	Exceeds Caulk gun, clothes, and work area are kept spotlessly clean. All excess caulk is placed immediately in the trash can and there is no caulk on the ground or anywhere it is not supposed to be.
Final Product (X10)	Falls Far Below More than two areas are missing caulk and more than 16 areas have excess build-up.	Approaches Two areas are missing caulk AND more than 8 areas have excess build-up	Meets All areas needing caulk have caulk, and there is excess build-up in 4 - 8 areas. OR Two areas are missing caulk,	Exceeds Trim pieces are blended together perfectly. All gaps are filled, all nail holes are filled, all seams in siding are filled, and there is excess build up in no more than four caulked areas.
