Using a check register	Advanced The student will be able to reconcile the check register with the bank statement.	Beyond Student will be able to record a written check and a deposit slip amount on the register.	Competent Student will be able to write a check and/or deposit slip.	NYC Student will be able to write & spell numbers up to one hundred.
Using a calculator	Advanced Student will use calculator for balancing a register of a checking account, to include the process of adding and subtracting with 100% accuracy.	Beyond Student will use the calculator to convert digit numbers to dollars & cents in order to calculate total costs and purchases at the store.	Competent Student will be able to add and subtract 1-2-3-4 digit numbers on the calculator.	NYC Student will understand the process of calculator functions.
Estimation Basic Values	Advanced Student will be able to estimate within the nearest dollar, how much something should cost and how much change he/she should receive.	Beyond Using a number line, student will be able to correctly determine if a number should be rounded up or down.	Competent Student will be able to count by 5-10-20-100.	NYC Student will understand the correlation between estimation and rounding.
Measurements	Advanced Student will be able to measure the amount of money earned compared to the amount of time worked.	Beyond Student will be able to measure time.	Competent Student will be able to measure liquid with a measuring cup.	NYC Student will be able to measure length with a ruler or yard stick.
