Materials	Exceeds Standard All materials needed are present before lab begins and are entered on the lab report. The materials are appropriate for the procedure. Student does not waste materials during lab.	Meets Standard All materials needed are present, but not all are entered on the lab report, or some materials are absent and must be obtained during the procedure. The materials are appropriate for the procedure.	Needs Revisions All materials needed are not present and are not entered on the lab report. The materials are not all appropriate for the procedure or there are some major omissions.	Below Expectations Materials needed are absent from the lab report. The materials are inappropriate for the procedure and there are some major omissions. Student is wasteful of the materials.	Incomplete Required work has not been done
Procedures	Exceeds Standard All PROCEDURES are listed, and complete storyboard is included with lab report.	Meets Standard Procedures are written, but rushed and sloppy/incomplete or storyboard is missing.	Needs Revisions Missing some steps in the procedures.	Below Expectations Procedures are sloppy/rushed and missing vital steps and/or items.	Incomplete Required work has not been done.
Data Collection & Analysis	Exceeds Standard Data are presented in ways (charts, tables, graphs) that best facilitate understanding and interpretation. Error analysis and Percent Error is included. Meets Standard Report is mostly complete, neat, but minor details are missing.	Needs Revisions Report is hastily done, student did not follow directions, and is incomplete. Performance in Lab	Exceeds Standard Student independently follows all directions as written or with permission to change written directions, adheres to all safety rules, cleans up as directed	Meets Standard Student follows written directions, may make minor safety infractions. Cleans up as directed.	Needs Revisions Student needs constant assistance, may need constant reminders of safety, may leave materials out. Student cleans up after being reminded to.
