Design Your Own City: Map project
You will create a map of your own city, using the same urban planning techniques of the ancient Romans: parallel and perpendicular streets, a public gathering area (park or forum), and buildings for specific purposes (business, government, housing). Be creative! Your city can be ancient, futuristic, or modern-day. There can buildings dedicated to video game playing, movie-watching, or hair-washing! Remember, the emphasis is on PLANNING. The Romans were very organized and designed their cities with purpose.
