Brain parts The students will describe the parts of the brains described in the lab and their functions.	Novice The student did not explain the functions of each required brain part.	Capable The student did not show or explain all of the functions of the brain part or did so incorrectly.	Skilled The student was able to show all the required parts of the brain and accurately describe the functions with less than two or less errors or unclear descriptions.	Exceptional The student was able to clearly show all the required parts of the brain and accurately describe the functions with no errors.
Visual Aids Student will select and display a visual for each function.	Novice The student did not include visuals that illustrated functions.	Capable The student had more than three visuals that were inaccurate or failed to enhance understanding.	Skilled The student had visuals for each function, but two or less were inaccurate or failed to enhance understanding.	Exceptional The student had a clear visual for each function that enhanced understanding.
Organization and Appearancence The project showed clear organization of different parts and descriptions and is neat and easy to read.	Novice Poster is very unorganized and/or unattractive.	Capable There are some issues with either organization and/or appearance.	Skilled The student creates a poster that is not only well organized and neat.	Exceptional The student creates a poster that is not only well organized and neat, but shows extra work on making it attractive and meaningful.
