Using the Microscope to View & Sketch a Specimen
Students practice applying their understanding of the compound light microscope to draw a prepared specimen. Students are then asked to use a compound light microscope to create a wet-mount of a letter "e", position letter correctly on the stage of the microscope, students are asked to draw the letter, and determine the total magnification. Students were also asked to create other wet-mount slides of items they gathered from the field outside.
