Research Project and Presentation 
Research Project/Poster Presentation
The students will assemble a project depicting an aspect of prehistoric man's life. The group presentation must be accompanied by a written report prepared independently by each student. The report should include a detailed description of the student's newly acquired knowledge (in other words, what the student learned), the resources used, and a discussion of the advantages or disadvantages of working in a cooperative group.

Poor

The paper is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. There is at least 1 page less than the required amount.
Work quality/effort

Exceeds

The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Good

Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner. It is evident that time was put into this project.
Fair

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Poor

Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product.
Visual Aid

Exceeds

The visual aid has an element of creativity and style. Information is presented in a clear manner with full understanding of the subject.
Good

The visual aid is clear and logical and contains facts with very few mistakes. Information is clear with fair understanding of the subject.
Fair

The visual aid shows some understanding of the subject matter, but contains errors and appears more like a list of facts. It lacks style, neatness and clarity.
Poor

The visual aid does not reveal a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. It lacks neatness and clarity.
Presentation

Exceeds

The student is well-prepared, presents the information clearly, and displays a complete understanding of the information.
Good

The student presents the information clearly and displays a reasonable understanding of their information.
Fair

The information presented is not cleary displayed consistently throughout the project.
Poor

Not enough preparation was done for the presentation of the information. It therefore lacks the expected elements.
