You Are the Teacher Grammar Lesson Project 
A teaching group of three (at the most) will choose a grammar topic. Each teaching group will produce a lesson, with a completed presentation, an exciting activity, and a brief worksheet. Each group will have time in class to practice their lesson before presenting their activity to the 7th-grade students.

Excellent (10-8)

The team uses creativity to explain the grammar topic. A visual aid was used. examples: music, videos, children's books, posters, powerpoint presentations, or anything else that would creatively engage 7th graders. This 5-minute presentation explains the grammar topic and how to use its function or identify it correctly. This presentation distinguishes between correct usage and incorrect usage. Everything was presented in an organized manner.
Fair (7-4)

The team uses some creativity to explain the grammar topic. There was an attempt to use a visual aid. The presentation was approximately 5 minutes long. The group had a decent explanation of the grammar topic and how to use it or identify it correctly. The presentation attempted to distinguish between correct and incorrect usage. The presentation was fairly organized.
Poor (3-1)

The team does not employ creativity to express the grammar topic. The presentation lacks a visual aid. The presentation is far less than 5 minutes. The presentation does not explain how to use or identify the grammar topic effectively. The presentation does not distinguish between effective and ineffective usage. The presentation was unorganized

The worksheet is interesting and will help students practice their grammar topic. It begins with an example of proper usage and provides many practice opportunities. No more and no less than 5 minutes.
Fair (7-4)

The worksheet is somewhat interesting and somewhat helps students practice their grammar topic. It includes some sort of definition and or example of the topic. The worksheet provides some opportunities to practice. The worksheet portion of the presentation is completed in approximately 4 minutes.
Poor (3-1)

The worksheet is boring and includes little or no grammar practice. It does not open with an example. The presentation is well under 3-4 minutes long or far exceeds 5 minutes.

The activity provides a relevant opportunity for students to prove that they understand and know the grammar topic. This activity is creative and fun. Activities provide students with the opportunity to have fun while using their newfound knowledge. The activity makes the lesson memorable while reinforcing what was learned. No more and no less than 5 minutes.
Fair (7-4)

Activity attempts to provide an opportunity for students to prove their understanding and knowledge of the grammar topic. It is somewhat creative and fun. Activity has a fun element while reinforcing knowledge. The presentation is complete in approximately 4 minutes.
Poor (3-1)

Activity does not prove that students understand and know the grammar topic. The activity is not fun or creative. The activity does not refer to the grammar lesson or reinforce the knowledge gained in the lesson. The presentation is well under 3-4 minutes or far exceeds 5 minutes.

The group works together to complete the assignment. Each member actively participates demonstrating a good working knowledge of his or her role. Uses class time efficiently and engages with the group.

The team attempts to work together and support each other to complete the assignment. Some members participate, while others do not or are unsure of their roles. Some members were distracted or in and out of the group discussions.
Poor (3-1)

The group does not work together to complete any task or portion of the presentation, showing miscommunication or ineffectiveness. Mostly one person was doing all the work. Group members were distracting other group members.

Excellent (10-8)

The team expresses mastery of the grammar topic. Each team member can answer questions and assist students while learning their grammar topic.
Fair (7-4)

The team expresses a decent understanding and can answer most questions about the grammar topic.
Poor (3-1)

The team expresses a poor or vague grasp of the grammar topic. Team members are unable to answer questions or assist students while learning their grammar topic.
