Colorado Figure Powerpoint Rubric Colorado Figure Powerpoint Rubric This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met. Grading Rubric
	Excellent 10 pts	Good 8 pts	Fair 5 pts	Poor 2 pts
Organization	Excellent Facts are discussed clearly and in an organized manner. All points are touched on.	Good Facts are somewhat discussed but more information is required. Most of the points are touched on.	Fair Facts are slightly discussed but more material is needed. Half of the points are touched on.	Poor Slides do not contain relevant information. Few if any of the points were touched on.
Presentation/Graphics	Excellent Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. Graphics and effects are used throughout to enhance presentation.<BR> Creativity is demonstrated throughout the presentation.	Good Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. More than half of the slides use graphics and effects to enhance presentation.<BR> Creativity is demonstrated in some of the presentation.	Fair Slides are easy to read. Amount of text is too great for the amount of space provided. Less than half the slides have graphics or effects.<BR> Creativity is demonstrated occasionally.	Poor The slides are not easy to read. The amount of text is too great for the space provided. There is little use of graphics or effects.<BR> No evidence of Creativity.
Grammar and Mechanics	Excellent Capitalization and punctuation are correct throughout the presentation. There are no grammatical errors.	Good There is less than 2 grammatical error on the presentation.	Fair There are less than 4 grammatical errors on the presentation.	Poor There are many grammar or mechanical errors on the presentation.
Animations/ Timings	Excellent Animations and Timings are appropriate and have good flow.	Good Animations and Timings are done and the flow is adequate.	Fair Animations and Timings are present but the flow is not adequate.	Poor Animations and Timings are not evidenced.
Use of Class Time	Excellent Used time well during the class period. Focused on getting the product done. Never distracted others.	Good Used time well during the class period. Usually focused on getting the project done and never distracted others.	Fair Used some of the class time well during the class period. There was some focus on getting the project done but occasionally distracted others.	Poor Did not use class time to focus on project OR distracted others. Reminders were given.

Fair The information presented is historically accurate and presents basic information about the figure, and career acheivements.	Poor The information presented in either not historically accurate or relevant and the figure discussed is not presented with historical contributions or acheivements
