3D Model of a Cell and Presentation 3D Model of a Cell Students must create a 3-D cell model of ONE of the following cell types: plant cell or animal cell. Student must label all parts of the cell and organelle, and create a presentation explaining their model . Create a 3-D representation of the major aspects of a cell including ALL organelles. Highly accurate representation of cell structure and function. Shows excellent understanding of cell structure.
Structure Label parts!	Unacceptable Little or no labels. Numerous errors in cell structure lableing. Lack of understanding of cell structure or the organelle.	Needs Work Errors in or missing organelle lables. Understanding of cell or organelle structure and function needs further develoment.	Good Adequate understanding of cell or organelle structure. Most structures labled appropriatley.	WOW!! Excellent understanding of cell or organelle structure. All structures labled appropriately.
Creativity and Artistic Appeal Must be 3-dimensional	Unacceptable Absense of creative design.	Needs Work Little or no creativity seen in design. Problems with planning and organization. Poor use of materials.	Good Shows some creativity in design. Use of materials/methods shows satisfactory planning and organization.	WOW!! Innovative use of materials/method that shows excellent planning, organization and hard work.
Clarity	Unacceptable No clarity in representation. Materials do not represent structure or function of cell or organellel.	Needs Work Confusion in representation. Use of materials does not show a parallel with the structure and function of organelles.	Good Generally clear representation, good use of materials to show structure and function of organelles.	WOW!! Representation is extremely clear, materials used metaphorically represent structure and function of organelles.
