Excellent
Utilizes a wide variety of vocabulary. Takes risks and tries to expand length of sentences. Grammar is highly accurate. Students used their own prior knowledge of the language and a Spanish dictionary to look up unknown words.

Utilizes a variety of vocabulary and sentences are rather short. An error or 2 in grammar, appears to have used Google Translate for a couple of complete sentences or phrases.
Fair
Utilizes limited or minimal vocabulary expressions and sentences are short. Quite a few grammatical errors, or Google Translate was likely used to write a good portion of the script.
Poor
Utilizes limited vocabulary, some of which is inaccurate or irrelevant to the task. Several errors with grammar and verb conjugations.

The final draft is logical, clear, and well-written. It is typed up and is free of grammatical/spelling errors and type-o's. It looks like the student took great pride in it.

The final draft is fairly logical, clear and well-written with a several grammatical/spelling error's or type-o's. It is hand-written and/or looks like parts of it might have been done in a hurry.

The final draft is not well-written or doesn't make much sense. It is hand-written and/or looks like the student(s) just wanted to get it done and didn't care what it looked like.
Time Management
Excellent
Stayed focused during writing and practice times. Student was engaged and collaborated with group members. S/he was rarely off-task and made excellent use of time.
Good
Stayed focused the majority of the time during writing and practice times. Mostly contributed to group writing/planning having to be reminded occasionally to refocus.
Fair
Was playful during group planning and did not collaborate as directed. Had to be reminded often to refocus. Did not make "best" use of time.
Poor
Was playful and distracted others during group planning. Did not contribute to group planning of skit. Allowed group members to do his/her share of the work. Wasted time.

Speaks clearly and distinctly all the time with very few unnatural pauses or distractions. Perfect or nearly perfect pronunciation.

Speaks clearly and no distinctly most of the time with a few unnatural pause/distraction. Good Spanish pronunciation, with only a couple words mispronounced or misused.

Speaks clearly and distinctly during half of the presentation with some unnatural pauses/distractions. Several Spanish words are mispronounced or misused.

Often mumbles and cannot be understood OR has multiple distractions and unnatural pauses. More than half of Spanish words are mispronounced or misused.
Preparedness
Excellent
Student is completely prepared and has obviously rehearsed. Lines are memorized or student refers to card minimally.
Good
Student seems pretty prepared but might have needed a couple more rehearsals. Relies on card / reads part of the time off of the card.
Fair
The student is somewhat prepared, but it is clear that rehearsal was lacking. Reads most of his/her lines off of the card.
Poor
Student does not seem at all prepared to present. Reads all lines from card or doesn't even have card from which to read lines.
Creativity
Excellent
The script is very creative and demonstrates a high level of effort by all team members.
Good
Script is somewhat creative and demonstrates a good amount of effort by all team members.
Fair
Script is a little creative, and shows that minimal effort was put in by the team members or that one or two members put forth most of the effort.
Poor
Script lacks creativity and it is obvious little effort was put into the project or that one team member did most of the work.
Audience Manners
Excellent
Listens intently and appreciates classmates' presentations. Does not make distracting noises or movements during presentations.
Good
Listens intently, but has one distracting noise or movement.

Sometimes does not appear to be listening but is not distracting.
